Helping Friend’s Nepal 8th Annual Scholarship Program-2019

On July 6th, 2019 Helping Friend’s Nepal has successfully organized its 8th Annual Scholarship award program at Aakasedhara Chowk, Kapan-Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu Nepal. The program was begun by the welcome speech of the president of Helping Friend’s Nepal Mr Shibalal Giri in the presence of honoured guests Mr Tikaram Puri, Mr Sudarsan K.C. and Mr Hemkaji Puri and general members of Helping Friends Nepal with their children.  This program is the continuation of the distribution of Annual Educational Scholarship award especially focusing on the High Mountains Porter’s children who were living under the deprived condition and lack of education.  The little effort of Helping Friend’s Nepal partial educational scholarship now able to change their condition and all the awarded children were able to progress a lot in their study as well as in extracurricular activities.

 

Secretary of Helping Friends Nepal Mr Tulasi Ram Puri with his speech continued the award ceremony and congratulated all the children who have obtained good marks in their final examination. Furthermore, HFN president Mr Shibalal Giri requested all the parents to give maximum support to their children not only in education but other activities like self-discipline, health, and sports to make them a successful person in the future. Mr Giri added that Helping Friends Nepal will always try to continue the scholarship program in the near and also hope to get continuous support from the HFN members, fundraisers, and well-wishers. This award ceremony is continued by the financial support of Emmaus-53, France since 2015 and fund collected by the members of HFN members.

 Last year, Helping Friends Nepal have provided the educational award to 34 children residing in a different part of the country. Vice president and treasurer of Helping Friends Nepal Mr Man Kumar Puri and Mr Kamal Giri respectively furthermore announced the annual increment of the scholarship amount from NRs. 20,000 to NRs, 22,000. Also, there is also an increase in the number of awarded children from 34 to 42, an addition of eight more children in HFN Family. Honourable guests Mr Tika Ram Puri, Mr Hemakaji Puri, and Mr Sudarsan KC provided the scholarship award to the respected parents.

The program was wrapped-up by the speech of acknowledgement from the honourable guests and final thanksgiving speech of Mr Tualsi Ram Puri who thanked once again all the participants and HFN members for making the 8th annual event successful.
